A picture of Brogan Woodburn with a guitar at the Crooked River south of Prineville Oregon

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Brogan attended Berklee College of Music on a full-tuition scholarship where he studied jazz guitar, classical composition, and music business. He studied with NYC downtown musician David Tronzo and one of Shostakovich’s last students, Yakov Gubanov.

After graduation, Brogan moved to Brooklyn and performed as a pit musician on the second international tour of the Broadway production Bring It On: The Musical. Having returned to the Northwest, Brogan is now based in Prineville, Oregon and enjoys exploring the high desert. At solo shows, he plays guitar interpretations of jazz and popular tunes drawing on a range of influences including flamenco and classical music.

In the words of one recent listener,

“Brogan plays from the heart – and you can feel it.”

In addition to performing solo guitar, Brogan is a member of the band Well in the Woods with his wife Joy, who is a singer/pianist and producer.
